The Perfect Pitch Competition promotes inter-departmental collaboration among students and provides a real-world experience for singers, songwriters, promoters, producers, and other active members of the Berklee community.

In a school-wide open call songwriters pitch custom-tailored songs to top Berklee vocalists in several styles: R&B, Pop, Jazz, Country, Musical Theatre, etc…The top Berklee vocalists then perform the songs they have chosen at the Perfect Pitch competition. At the concert, industry executives vote on the best song and performance. The Perfect Pitch winner receives free studio time to record a professional demo of their song.

The Perfect Pitch competition serves as an entertainment event that brings together students and strengthens bonds in the Berklee Community. Directly, the diverse array of styles of music and performers helps to promote diversity on-campus and create an atmosphere of connection between all members of the student body.
